Juicy nectarine and pear fruits, with apple blossom floral tones giving a nice lift to the attractive bouquet. The palate displays wonderful purity of tree fruit flavour. There is a nice flow to the structure and length, with good balance and chewy acidity.

2021 Gibbston Valley China Terrace Chardonnay (Central Otago)

Seamless, cool climate chardonnay with length and purity. Pale straw colour. The wine exhibits a fine balance between winemaking and viticultural influences. Golden peach, honeydew and barrel aromas come through on the nose. The palate unfurls with beautiful delicacy, expanding generously yet with quiet grace. The impression is of finesse and elegance with layers of creamy fruit. A subtle minerality punctuates the finish.

Pale lemon in colour with aromas of ripe nectarine and pink grapefruit. Toasted almonds and bran appear with some fine blossom too. Rich mouthfeel with exotic spice and lemon pith, balanced with a lengthy mineral spine.

2020 Valli Waitaki Riesling (Otago)

Freshly squeezed lime juice and lemon zest with jasmine flowers on the nose awaken the palate to flavours of rich citrus, ripe apple and incredibly limey acidity which gives the wine great length. This Riesling is exquisitely balanced and wonderful on its own, but it will also pair beautifully with summer salads, fresh fish, seafood and light-medium spiced Indian or Thai cuisine. A fresh and fragrant young wine.

2018 Gibbston Valley Late Harvest Pinot Gris (Central Otago) (375mls)

The Late Harvest Pinot Gris is a decadent late harvest style, with exotic tropical flavours. Bright straw gold, the wine is expressive, full and lusciously good. Enjoyable from the outset, the nose gives bright tropical and melon aromas with hints of exotic aromas of the east; and marmalade. The palate is hedonistically lush yet surprisingly fresh, unfurling gorgeously over the palate. The sweetness and dense texture lead to a honeyed, faintly caramelised finish.
